ABOUT THE ROLE

An opportunity has presented itself to join the Mainfreight Wharf, Adelaide team, taking on the role of Operations with some time spent supporting the team in the office. This is an exciting opportunity for a team member to learn, grow and support an established container transport business.  We're looking for a team member with drive, passion, and commitment to getting the job done. You will be assisting with our depot operations including unpacking containers and loading freight.  You will also be assisting in office with some slotting and planning.

To be successful, the applicant will need to possess the following skills:

Skills & Experience:

  • Operating forklift
  • Loading and unloading trucks
  • A positive attitude
  • Ability to work as part of a small team – a 'can-do' attitude is a must
  • Forklift licence
  • Computer literate

Duties and responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading freight from trucks
  • Container unpacks and packs
  • Occasional thermal liner installation
  • Occasional pallet reconfiguration
  • Assistance in customer service and planning / slotting
  • Maintain a clean work environment
  • Maintain high morale within the team
  • Ensuring our quality is above standard
