Our industry partner, Polar Bear of Leura a popular restaurant located in the heart of Leura, New South Wales. Known for its diverse menu, fresh ingredients, and cozy dining atmosphere, we are committed to providing guests with exceptional service and memorable dining experiences. Our menu offers a wide variety of dishes ranging from grilled meats to vegetarian options, catering to a broad customer base.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes in line with the restaurant's menu.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation.
  • Support menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and fresh ingredients.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP).
  • Assist in monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimising wastage.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth operations during service.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Minimum 2–3 years' experience in a commercial kitchen.
  • Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent).
  • Ability to prepare a variety of dishes with precision and attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
