About the role

We are seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Heavy Rigid Truck Driver to join our team at D&J freight' in Bayswater, WA. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the state. Your role will be integral to the success of our growing logistics operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Safely operate heavy rigid trucks to transport various goods and materials to multiple locations
  2. Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are roadworthy
  3. Monitor driving conditions and adjust driving techniques accordingly
  4. Comply with all relevant road rules, transport regulations and company policies
  5. Maintain accurate delivery documentation and records
  6. Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles as required
  7. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our logistics and transport operations

What we're looking for

  1. Valid Heavy Rigid (HR) driver's licence and a minimum of 2 years' experience driving heavy vehicles
  2. Excellent driving skills and a proven track record of safe driving practices
  3. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines
  4. Good communication and customer service skills
  5. Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, late nights and weekends as required
  6. Knowledge of transport regulations and safe operating procedures
