We are seeking a highly experienced
Subject Matter Expert (SME)
with deep expertise in
biometric technologies
and
Python
to lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of next-generation biometric solutions for airport operations. The ideal candidate will combine technical excellence with a strong understanding of the travel sector, ensuring seamless passenger experiences while meeting stringent security and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the biometric and identity strategy for airport operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align biometric initiatives with airport modernization goals.
  • Lead the deployment of biometric systems (e.g., facial recognition, fingerprint, iris scanning) across passenger touchpoints (check-in, security, boarding).
  • Evaluate and integrate identity management platforms with existing airport IT infrastructure.
  • Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails for biometric data usage and storage.
  • Liaise with technology vendors, airlines, government agencies, and airport authorities.
  • Monitor system performance and user experience metrics, driving continuous improvement.
  • Recommend enhancements based on data analytics and operational feedback.
  • Provide training and support to airport staff on biometric systems.
  • Create troubleshooting guides for biometric operations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years'
    experience in technology leadership roles, ideally in
    travel, aviation, or related sectors
    .
  • Strong expertise in
    Python
    for automation, integration, and data processing.
  • Proven track record in implementing and optimising biometric systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of identity management platforms and airport IT ecosystems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and vendor coordination skills.
  • Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations, and compliance requirements.

Desirable

  • Previous work with large-scale, international airport projects.
  • Familiarity with emerging biometric standards and technologies.
