About the role

Fixit Industries is seeking a motivated and skilled individual to join our Restoration Technician team (other trade experience welcome) based in Warabrook, NSW. Our operations span the Newcastle, Hunter, Upper Hunter, Central, and Mid North Coast regions. Due to the emergency nature of this industry, this is a casual position. As a Restoration Technician, you will play a crucial role in assessing and restoring a variety of contents and buildings, contributing to the success of our growing business.

What you'll be doing

  1. Diagnose and assess the condition of items and building structures requiring restoration, remediation or repair. This includes damages from flood, water, storm, mould, fire and smoke.
  2. Develop and implement effective restoration plans
  3. Utilise a range of tools and techniques to assess and remediate
  4. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and within agreed timelines
  5. Maintain detailed records of restoration activities and outcomes
  6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of restoration processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  2. Effective communication skills to liaise with customers and stakeholders
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  4. Commitment to delivering high-quality work and outstanding customer service
  5. Computer and technology literacy
  6. Available to work weekends on a rotating roster
  7. Full driver's license and police check
  8. Ability to drive a manual van and tow a trailer, highly regarded
