Library Technician

We are seeking a suitably qualified and potentially experienced candidate for this position. The successful candidate will be passionate about reading, enjoy working in a team and be committed to engendering a love of reading amongst our Early Learning to Year 12 students.
This is a full-time role, however we will consider applications for a part-time role. The successful applicant will begin in mid-January 2026 or sooner by negotiation.
Due to the nature of this role, you will only be required to work during school terms and staff development weeks. Your hours will be 7.55am to 3.55pm Monday to Friday.
About You
As the successful applicant, you will be a committed Christian and an active member of your local church. You will be able to:
- support the school's library services, including cataloguing and circulation of resources for students and staff
- assist students and staff in locating and using library materials
- create engaging library displays and support reading initiatives and special events
- demonstrate strong relational and interpersonal skills with staff, students and parents
- a demonstrated capacity to work and contribute as a member of a team
- be capable of working in an innovative and dynamic environment with competing priorities
- commitment to ongoing professional growth and development
- excellent ICT skills across a range of platforms, including Oliver LMS and SCIS (preferred)
- supervise students with minimal assistance
- experience in a school setting will be highly regarded
Qualifications
- Cert IV or Diploma of Library and Information Services
- Current Working With Children Check
