About the Role

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Senior Auditor to join a collaborative, mid-tier accounting and advisory firm. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, providing assurance services that deliver real value. You will play a key role in planning and executing audits, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the firm's high standard of client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end external audit engagements in compliance with professional standards and regulations.
  • Perform risk assessments, develop audit plans, and oversee fieldwork.
  • Review and analyse financial statements, systems, and controls to identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports and present findings to clients.
  • Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior team members.
  • Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and delivery of high-quality outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards, audit methodologies, and relevant legislation.

About You

  • CA/CPA qualified (or near completion).
  • 3+ years' experience in external audit within a professional services firm.
  • Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support the development of junior staff.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering accurate, timely results.
