You've led enough projects to know that good design isn't just about a beautiful render. It's about shaping how people live, feel, and connect – whether it's over a slow lunch in a sun-drenched restaurant, or in an aged-care home that feels anything but institutional.

You'll own the creative vision for standout hospitality and aged-care interiors—projects where your design choices shape not just the look, but the experience of every space.

You'll lead high-profile work that values design integrity over speed, giving you the time, trust and team to realise your best ideas. With full autonomy over concept direction, FF&E, finishes and lighting, this is your chance to build a portfolio of lasting, design-led spaces.

Work from home two days a week, mentor junior designers, and bring your voice to a studio that wants your input—not just your output.

What you'll do

  • Lead design vision – across lighting, FF&E, finishes and spatial planning, ensuring every project is as practical as it is poetic.

  • Own the process – presenting concepts to clients, managing feedback, and working with architects, engineers, and builders to bring your ideas to life – without losing the plot (or the budget).

  • Mentor your team – uplifting junior and mid-level designers, helping them grow while keeping quality high.

  • Think big-picture – contributing to proposals and pitches, sharing your insights to help win work and keep the practice ahead of the curve.

  • Stay inspired – keep up with the latest materials, technologies and trends, and feed that creative energy back into the studio.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or related field

  • Proven experience leading interior design projects in hospitality, aged-care or similar sectors

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and manage teams

  • Commercial awareness and understanding of Australian building codes, accessibility standards and operational requirements

You'll join a 50-person Sydney team in a multidisciplinary design studio known for beautiful, high-function interiors across Australia and Asia. Projects include boutique hotels, luxury senior living spaces, and elegant hospitality fit-outs—each shaped with refined detailing, material richness and spatial clarity.

You'll work in stunning waterside offices with a supportive leadership team who value design depth, not just deadlines. The studio brings hotel-level quality to aged-care and residential projects, delivering calm, elegant interiors that perform as well as they look.
