How this role supports our wo**

rkThe Senior Adviser – Safeguarding is a subject matter expert supporting Red Cross people to prevent harm to children and vulnerable adults and embed a strong safeguarding culture across all Australian Red Cross operations. The role includes incident triage and management, practitioner support and advice, trend analysis and reporting. Working closely with program delivery teams, the role builds capacity by training and supporting Red Cross people to prevent harm to children and vulnerable adults, promote safety and accountability, and embed quality practices and a Speak Up cultur

What you will do day to**

  • daySupport the development and implementation of organisation-wide safeguarding and incident management frameworks that promote continuous improvement, harm prevention and ethical pract
  • iceTriage and ensure effective coordination and quality oversight of internal child, adult client and safeguarding incide
  • ntsSupport and educate program leadership to apply the safeguarding framework and broader risk and incident management proces
  • sesIdentify safeguarding gaps and improvements and support leaders to develop and monitor effective controls and soluti
  • onsDevelop and deliver safeguarding training progr
  • amsPrepare reports and briefings for senior leaders, Executive and Board that provide data and insights on incident management and compliance against legislative frameworks such as the Child Safe Principles including recommendations for improvem
