The Role: Dam Engineer

This is not just another engineering job—it's a pivotal role in stewarding infrastructure that powers irrigation, hydropower, water supply, and flood protection. As a
Dam Engineer
, you'll:

  • Design & Plan
    : Collaborate in designing dams (concrete or embankment), hydraulic modeling, safety and stability assessments, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise Construction
    : Lead on-site oversight, quality assurance, and manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Inspect & Maintain
    : Conduct routine inspections, oversee monitoring systems, and implement maintenance and rehabilitation plans.
  • Manage Safety
    : Develop emergency action plans, conduct risk assessments, and perform rigorous safety audits.
  • Champion Environment & Compliance
    : Lead environmental impact assessments, prepare regulatory permits, and adopt sustainable best practices.
  • Operate & Innovate
    : Steer water flow management, hydropower operations (if applicable), flood control mechanisms—and explore new technologies to boost safety and sustainability.

About You

  • You hold a degree in
    civil, structural, or geotechnical engineering
    , with bonuses for hydrology or water resources specialisation.
  • You bring practical experience in dam construction, operation, or maintenance.
  • You're adept with tools like
    AutoCAD
    , hydraulic modeling software, and structural analysis techniques.
  • Detail-oriented and analytical, you're a problem-solver who understands both engineering challenges and regulatory standards.
  • You're passionate about
