QUALIFIED PAINTER FOR FIFO NW WA

Your Opportunity

We're seeking a qualified Painter to join Buildcraft, where you'll play a key role in refurbishing company housing, public buildings, and social housing. Your work will directly impact the local community and communities in remote areas of Western Australia from Newman to Port Hedland and in between.   So, a willingness to travel is a must.  This role will be working out of Newman initially and then moving on to project renovations after 1 or 2 swings. Swings are either 2:1 or 2:2 with 10 hour days. The area covered is between Mount Magnet, Meekatharra, Newman, Tom Price and Port Hedland.  FIFO & DIDO (on occasion in a company vehicle.)

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid Painting qualification (Certificate III in Painting and Decorating) – if you're not qualified, this role isn't for you

  • Experience in surface preparation, finishing techniques, and coatings

  • A commitment to workplace safety and high-quality craftsmanship

  • A willingness to use digital tools, to check emails and take photos of work

  • The ability to work and live as part of a team with other trades

Skills and Experience required:

MUST HAVE POLICE CHECK DONE WITHIN THE PAST 6 M

  • Painting with 5+ years post trade experience.

  • The ability to work unsupervised and as part of a small team.

  • A strong focus on safety and quality standards.

  • The right to work in Australia.

  • Construction White Card.

  • Working at Heights Certificate (or willing to obtain).

  • Current drivers licence.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with the use of power and hand tools.
