Bar Vino is looking for a confident & charismatic Restaurant Host / Maitre d' with a passion for great food and wine to join the team at our Italian inspired wine bar in Mount Lawley.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef, you will lead the front-of-house with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.

THE VENUE_____

Bar Vino is a neighbourhood cafe & wine bar in the heart of Mount Lawley, inspired by the Italian way of life. It is a place to gather, for a glass of wine on your way home or to settle in and relax for the evening.

By day the venue operates as Willing Coffee, a well-loved espresso bar designed for lovers of fine coffee and the European café culture. By night it transforms into Bar Vino, an Italian wine bar & restaurant.

Our menu honours the delicious seasonal flavours that celebrate our land and water through high quality produce delivered with a refined technique. The wine list is the beating heart of who we are - designed to take the diner on a journey, the ever-evolving list features wines from some of our favourite regions and producers in Italy, France and Australia. The wine program is unique and has a distinct Italian influence with a specific focus on Tuscany. The list features more than 100 wines, all of which are available by the glass.

Seating 60, the space incorporates a heritage dining room with lively streetside alfresco.

The venue is open for dinner service only on Wednesday to Sunday, with Sunday lunch during the warmer months and extra function opening as required.

THE ROLE_____

We are looking for a confident & charismatic Restaurant Host / Maitre D' to join our team on a casual basis, 25-30 hours per week.

Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Head Chef, you will lead the front-of-house with confidence, warmth, and professionalism.

• Oversee the dining room – an ability to intuitively read the room to ensure every experience is both seamless and memorable
• Manage reservations, ensuring tables are available for guests and coordinating seating arrangements
• Listening to feedback and addressing any concerns

What we're looking for:

You will possess;

• A passion for high quality food and wine
• Previous experience in Italian restaurants is advantageous but not essential
• Excellent communication and personal presentation
• The ability to work well under pressure in a small team environment
• Valid working rights
