About Us

Matso's has always been a little different, but we're proud of that. Sometimes our remoteness has forced our hand, other times the heat has driven us to think differently about flavour and refreshment. From tropical places, with tropical heat, it takes a lot of Australian character and a great sense of humour to thrive.

Starting life as Australia's most remote brewery at our spiritual home in Broome WA, Matso's is now enjoyed at pubs, bars and backyards right across the country. In late December 2023 we launched Matso's on the other side of the country in Eumundi on the beautiful and laid back Sunshine Coast.

Inspired by our original, our second home taps into the heritage of an old Queensland pub with a newly renovated building in the back, bringing a large indoor and outdoor made for the family or for a late arvo Ginger Beer on ice.

Responsible for cleaning, sanitising and maintain all food and beverage operating equipment as well as setting up and cleaning of the equipment during food service. Assisting chefs with food preparation when required.

Skills

  • Cross functional agility and can easily work with other departments to influence outcomes.

  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire people at all levels to build a high achieving team.

  • Ability to adapting to busy and changing environment.

Knowledge

  • Qualifications in food safety management and commercial cookery qualifications

  • A broad and in-depth understanding of hospitality including local and industry trends, key suppliers, and customers.

Experience

  • At least 1 year experience in the hospitality industry.

  • Experience of busy and fast-faced business
