AUD $80,000 to AUD $95,000 commensurate with skills and experience.

Ord Irrigation Cooperative (OIC), an organisation that is owned by the East Kimberley farmers, supply water to crop and livestock production areas in the East Kimberley. We are seeking hard-working and experienced Mixed Production Farm Irrigation Workers to perform various manual labour tasks associated with irrigation and water delivery.

Duties:

· Report daily to management of OIC who report monthly to the Board of OIC (the East Kimberley Farmers).

· Operate water distribution systems.

· Maintain irrigation infrastructure including clearing trash and repairing storm damage.

· Operate machinery and equipment to deliver water and conduct maintenance of irrigation channels to East Kimberly farms.

· Read meters and measure irrigation supply.

· Apply pesticides/herbicides.

· General manual labour tasks.

· Be actively involved in WHS and adhere to safe work practices at all times.

Essential:

· At least two years of full-time work experience in a similar position.

· Highly organised with good communication skills.

· Class C Drivers licence.

· General trade and maintenance skills.

· Experience with Dethridge wheels, flumegates, water meters.

· Australian citizen or permanent resident. Do not apply if you are a temporary visa holder.

Desirable:

· ChemCert licence or willing to obtain.

· HR licence.

Other information:

-Water Distribution Officers predominantly work in Kununurra however are expected to service locations around OIC's infrastructure across the Ord River Valley. The climate is extreme, often exceeding 40 degrees Celcius with high humidity. Applicants must be fit to work in these conditions.

-Drug and alcohol testing may be conducted by OIC with zero tolerance for intoxication at

any time.
