Southern Wire – Truck Driver / Yard Hand

Hours: 5:00am – 5:00pm (initially 7:00am starts during training)

Location: Bassendean, WA


About the Role

Southern Wire is seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Truck Driver / Yard Hand to join our team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and a practical approach to getting the job done.


Primary Responsibilities
  • Driving company HR trucks for metro deliveries, with occasional rural runs.
  • Safely loading and unloading products.
  • Completing delivery paperwork and communicating effectively with customers.

Secondary Responsibilities
  • General yard work, including loading/unloading trucks and organizing stock.
  • Assisting with day-to-day operations as required.

Requirements
  • HR Truck Licence (essential)
  • Forklift Licence and relevant experience (essential)
  • Good attitude and strong team player
  • Motivated, uses common sense, and takes pride in their work
  • Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
