The Opportunity:
The HASI Support Worker is a rewarding role at Open Minds, focused on supporting individuals with chronic mental health needs to live independently and pursue recovery goals. In this role you will work Monday to Friday until 30^th June 2026 within a supportive team environment, delivering services across homes, hospitals, and community settings.
As a HASI Support Worker, no two days will be the same. You'll deliver recovery-oriented psychosocial support through a structured 13-week program, focusing on service coordination, community integration, and stakeholder collaboration. Your work will promote independence and wellbeing by supporting clients with employment or study, social engagement, health management, relationship building, transitions from hospital or correctional settings, skill development, and building a meaningful life as well as having fun

What you'll be doing on a day-to-day basis:
- Meeting with clients and working with them to develop recovery plans that align with their values and positive changes they want to make.
- Identify and manage potential risks through shared planning and safety strategies.
- Facilitate referrals to mental health, physical health, housing, employment, and education services.
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Build and sustain relationships with local organisations, service providers, and community stakeholders.
About You:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health, Community Services, Case Management, Counselling, or a related discipline.
- Experience in mental health, social services, or community support roles.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and maintain professional boundaries.
Strong communication, documentation, and organisational skills.
A genuine commitment to community impact and recovery-oriented practice.
