Position: Casual or contractor position if preferred

$42 - $50 per hour + entitlements (wage negotiable depending on experience)

We are a local and trusted business for providing commercial glass and aluminium solutions and installations on the Sunshine Coast to large scale commercial builds, shopfronts, factories and residential buildings. With over 30 years' experience we provide high quality solutions to our customers, so we are looking for a new team member/ tradie who is also focused on quality and efficiency as we grow our business.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a hard-working qualified glazier who has foresight, initiative and drive. We need someone who can problem solve and think quickly on their feet as you will need to be able to work well in a team or alone at times.

This role involves heavy lifting as our primary work activities are glass and aluminium installations for commercial and residential buildings. Our ideal person will need to be able to keep up with the crew and be willing to listen, learn and follow instructions on the job. Your safety and quality of work is a priority for our business but also being able to complete projects on time of a high quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Install high-end commercial glass and aluminium
• Install frameless and framed windows and doors
• Able to cut and assemble aluminium commercial frames
• Able to cut glass free hand
• Knowledge and experience in commercial hardware
• Interpret plans, take precise measurements and work safely
• Maintain a professional standard of customer service
• Communicate well with the team

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Alspec windows and door suites
• Experience in set outs and site measures

Requirements

• Certificate III in Glass, Glazing and Aluminium (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Minimum 6 years' experience in the glazing or trade industry
• Driver's license (truck license a bonus)
• White Card
• Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site
• High attention to detail and strong work ethic
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
• EWP tickets (desirable)
• Own tools (will list before starting)
