About the role

We are seeking an experienced Drainer Leading Hand with Excavator Experience to join our dynamic team at BG Enterprises. This full-time role is based in Penrith, NSW and will play a crucial part in the successful delivery of our maintenance projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and supervise a team of drainage workers to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standards
  • Operate 1.5 tonne excavator and assist trades on site
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to your team, ensuring they are working safely and efficiently
  • Collaborate with supervisors to plan and coordinate drainage activities
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the drainage work
  • Identify and resolve any issues or challenges that arise on the job site

What we're looking for

  • Demonstrated experience as a Drainer Leading Hand or Supervisor, ideally in the drainage maintenance industry
  • Proficient in operating 1.5 to 5 tonne excavators and other heavy machinery used in drainage work
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Thorough understanding of drainage systems, construction processes, and safety regulations
  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications
