Gilgandra Shire Council is seeking a Executive Assistant to the General Manager

  • Full time 35 hours week
  • Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year
  • Weekly pay cycle
  • Salary range $ $ per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position provides high-level executive support to the General Manager, Mayor, Councillors, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT). By ensuring effective coordination of administrative and governance functions, the role enables the organisation's leaders to focus on the achievement of Council's strategic objectives. The position also provides broader administrative support across Council to ensure efficient operations and quality service to the community.

Essential

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

  • Current Driver Licence
  • Minimum Cert IV in Business Administration (or equivalent) or extensive experience in a similar position
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in an executive assistants role or equivalent
  • Highly developed workplace organisational skills
  • Advanced skills in using Word, Excel and other Microsoft Office Programs
  • Sound written and interpersonal skills possessing a customer first focus with an ability to liaise with people at all levels
