Then join us to create a safe, clean and welcoming hospital environment for everyone. We are looking for a dedicated and reliable team member to join our Environmental services department. The important role helps maintain a safe, hygienic environment for patients, staff and visitors. The role is to undertake effective and efficient cleaning throughout the theatre department, clinical locations, and staff, public and inpatient areas in accordance with Victorian Health services Standards. We offer full training in cleaning processes, infection prevention and safety standards. Opportunities available for skill development and career growth in healthcare support services. About you:

  • An appropriate level of physical fitness to be able to undertake the specific duties.
  • Ability to perform duties within established routines, methods, and procedures.
  • Capability to work under routine supervision, either individually or in a team.
  • Demonstrated competency in the cleaning of windows, hard and soft floors; and the use of a wide range of commercial cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Previous similar experience or previous experience in healthcare/aged care environment
  • Take pride in delivering a clean and safe environment
  • Have a strong focus on teamwork reliability and positive attitude

Portland District Health (PDH) provides an integrated health service for the community. The hospital was established in 1856 on the current site and now provides a comprehensive range of services that include:

  • Hospital based Medical and Surgical services, Medical Imaging (Radiology), Pharmacy and Pathology

  • Residential aged care for 30 residents at Harbourside Lodge
