Diesel Fitter

JNS Diesel Contracting are currently seeking heavy diesel mechanics to join our talented and friendly team of fitters. We are a small rural diesel maintenance company situated in Cloncurry, North West Queensland.

• Heavy diesel equipment repair and maintenance
• Auto electrical repairs and maintenance
• Air conditioning repairs and maintenance
• Welding and fabrication
• Machinery and vehicle preventative maintenance servicing.

• Mine site work

Contracting to surrounding mines with flexible roster options available.

The successful applicant will need to be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who possesses the following attributes and abilities:

• Mechanical Trade Certificate (Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Vehicle Mechanic)
• Sound knowledge in Diagnostics, repair and maintenance, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, air conditioning and hydraulic repairs
• Sound knowledge of all general servicing tasks
• Able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Ability for coaching, mentoring, training of apprentices, trades assistants, work experience etc
• Maintain quality and urgency in the work performed
• Maintain a high degree of safety
• Current Drivers Licence (HR licence an advantage)

• Resume outlining all skills and experiences
• Trade Certificate
• 3 current work referees
• Drivers Licence

You must be able have clean and sober habits and willing to undertake a medical health clearance, police check and currently live in Australia.
