The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Dewatering Fitter / Mechanic to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced tradesperson to contribute their expertise to a growing and reputable organization in Canning Vale

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine job requirements.
  • Fitting, assembling, and installing machinery and equipment, including pumps, motors, conveyors, and other mechanical components.
  • Using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and other relevant equipment to perform fitting tasks.
  • Aligning and leveling machinery and equipment using various methods.
  • Testing the operation of assembled machinery and equipment for proper functioning.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical faults and performing necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Fabricating and modifying metal parts as required.
  • Working with various materials, including steel, aluminum, and other alloys.
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Collaborating effectively with other tradespeople and team members.
  • Potentially training or mentoring apprentices or less experienced fitters.
Skills and Experience:
  • Successful completion of a relevant trade qualification as a Fitter or Mechanical Fitter (e.g., Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
  • Demonstrated experience 5 years working as a Fitter in a relevant industry.
  • Strong ability to interpret and work from engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong commitment to safety.
