JOB DETAILS: 1 x Temporary Full Time 38 Hours Salary - $67,881 to $74,142 plus 12% Super Location:Liverpool - Cowpasture
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Council is seeking a reliable and motivated Truck Wash Operator to deliver high-quality vehicle cleaning services at our truck wash facility. This role is hands-on, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of wash equipment, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of the facility, and providing excellent customer service to both internal and external users.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing vehicle washing and detailing duties, including pre- and post-wash inspections.
- Operating and maintaining high-pressure washers, water recycling systems, and chemical dispensers.
- Ensuring the truck wash facility is safe, clean, and fully operational at all times.
- Monitoring compliance with environmental and safety standards, including chemical handling and wastewater disposal.
- Administering point-of-sale transactions and providing clear customer directions for vehicle movement within the depot.
- Supporting operational efficiency by following schedules and making recommendations for improvement.
This role is critical to maintaining Council's commitment to service delivery, safety, and sustainability.
ABOUT YOU:
You are a practical and customer-focused operator who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and service. With experience in vehicle washing, detailing, or industrial cleaning, you are confident working both independently and as part of a team.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- A current Class C Driver's Licence, White Card, and accredited Manual Handling certification.
- Hands-on experience using high-pressure washers and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Strong knowledge of WHS, safe chemical handling, and environmental compliance requirements.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to follow structured cleaning schedules.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, including EFTPOS handling and conflict resolution
