Payroll Officer

We are currently seeking applications for a Full Time Payroll Officer based in our Brisbane Depot in Darra.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities:

• End to end processing of weekly payroll
• Updating and maintaining payroll records
• Liaising with staff on payroll related queries
• Prepare and review daily payroll reports
• Review, edit and import face scanner timesheets into Meridian
• Prepare and lodge various reports according to accounting and legislative requirements
• Calculate and process payroll adjustments, terminations and complete ad-hoc payments
• Interpret employment contracts, policies, awards and relevant Fair Work provisions.
• Ensure employee records such as deductions, leave entitlements, severance are kept accurate and up to date

Skills and experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Intermediate or above microsoft excel skills (must include formulas and report formatting)
• Modern award knowledge will be highly regarded.
• Micropay Payroll System and high-volume payroll experience will be an advantage.
