Riverwall Constructions is a family-owned business with a long and distinguished history in the Australian construction insurance industry. We are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Senior Estimator to join our growing team.

The Role

As a Senior Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders, proposals, and ongoing projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure cost efficiency while maintaining our commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead preparation of high-value estimates for insurance, remedial, fit-out, and commercial projects
  • Mentor estimating staff in take-offs, pricing, and subcontractor engagement
  • Prepare and present cost reports and tenders to clients, insurers, and stakeholders
  • Develop strategies to strengthen competitive tender procurement
  • Ensure ethical tendering practices and effective subcontractor communication
  • Maintain and update databases for conceptual and hard bids, ensuring timely client deliverables
  • Collaborate with finance and business development teams to optimize cost accounting and project timelines
  • Monitor job costs, unit production, and profitability to maximize project outcomes
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
  • Stay current with industry pricing, market trends, and construction methodologies

About You

  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, and deliver within strict timeframes
  • Strong knowledge of insurer SLAs, GICOP compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience using estimating software
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management frameworks
  • NSW White Card & Driving License
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in construction estimating

Salary:

Commensurate with experience

Pay: $99,407.39 – $210,702.07 per year
