The OpportunityWe're looking for an experienced Traffic Engineer to join our Planning and Mobility (PAM) team in our Sydney office. Our PAM team is a committed group of professionals with skills covering: transport planning; traffic engineering, intelligent transport systems and transport modelling. We work on the most exciting, high-profile transport projects in Sydney and throughout Australia. With a long pipeline of work, this role provides the opportunity to work on some of the most exciting transport projects in the region, including metro, light rail, high-speed rail, bus rapid transit, ferry through to cycling and pedestrians.
Our ideal candidate will bring:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil or transportation engineering
- Experience working with government and private clients in NSW
- Proficient with local guidelines, including Australian Standards, Traffic Impact Assessment and Transport Modelling Guidelines
- Familiarity with transport modelling software, such as Aimsun, VISSIM, and SIDRA
- Working knowledge and use of AutoCAD and GIS is preferable
- Comfortable presenting to clients and building relationships within the industry
- Strong technical report writing
- Ability to manage projects, proposals and pursuits
You will also be required to:
- Identify new business opportunities and deliver projects directly to the client in an effective and timely manner.
- Prepare high-quality winning proposals and write quality technical reports.
- Provide technical rigour to studies, including data analysis.
- Aid in the development of more junior engineers and distribute work to the team where necessary.
