Information Technology Traineeship – NECA Education and Careers

Ready to launch your career in IT?

NECA Education and Careers is offering an exciting opportunity to gain hands on experience in a professional IT team while completing a Certificate III or IV in Information Technology.

As a Trainee, you'll be employed by NECA Education and Careers and placed within a State Government health facility, where you'll learn the ropes of IT help desk support in a real workplace environment.

The Role

Working full-time Monday to Friday in the Sunshine office, you'll assist the IT team with a variety of tasks, including:

  • Install and configure software and applications across various devices, including PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones
  • Set up and image user devices to ensure smooth onboarding
  • Assist with IT service desk support via email, phone, and in-person interactions
  • Install and configure hardware components as required
  • Manage ordering and purchasing of new IT equipment
  • Perform additional tasks and duties as directed by the IT team

We're Looking For:

  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Great communication and people skills
  • Savvy computer skills and knowledge of basic software applications (Windows PC and Mac)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Successful completion of a National Police Check, Working with Childrens Check and compliance with the minimum immunisation requirements under the Workforce Immunisation Screening Policy are mandatory
