An exciting opportunity awaits an accomplished Membership Manager to lead the membership experience for an exclusive, world-class private club.

If you're a sophisticated communicator with a passion for people, hospitality, and relationship-building, this role offers the chance to shape a vibrant, engaged community and deliver a membership experience that reflects true excellence.

Responsibilities

As Membership Manager, you'll oversee every stage of the membership journey — from acquisition and onboarding to retention and engagement. You'll develop and execute strategies to grow the club's membership base while ensuring existing members receive an exceptional level of care and service.

Working closely with senior leadership, Marketing, Events, and Operations, you'll be the face of the club for members and prospective members alike - driving connection, loyalty, and member experience.

  • Lead strategic membership acquisition and retention initiatives to achieve annual targets
  • Build meaningful relationships with members, delivering seamless and personalised experiences
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Events teams to curate exclusive occasions that enhance engagement
  • Oversee membership administration, renewals, and reporting to ensure precision and efficiency
  • Analyse membership data and market trends to inform strategy and decision-making
  • Represent the club at events and networking opportunities to attract and retain members
  • Manage and mentor a small team, fostering professionalism and service excellence

Your Profile

  • Proven experience in membership management, guest services, or premium hospitality
  • Highly polished interpersonal and communication skills with strong emotional intelligence
  • Commercially astute, with experience managing targets, budgets, and data accuracy
  • Exposure to sales and business development
  • A self-assured, professional presence and a genuine passion for people, service, and Melbourne's food and wine culture
  • Ability to lead, inspire and develop a small, high-performing team
