About the role

Century Group is looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Edinburgh North, SA. If you take pride in precision work, enjoy hands-on mechanical tasks, and want to be part of a growing team, this role is for you

What you'll be doing

  • Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues, and carry out repairs.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to keep equipment running smoothly.
  • Work with a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Follow strict safety procedures and ensure a clean, organised workspace.
  • Manage and grow the skills of our fitters.

What we're looking for

  • Trade Qualification – Mechanical Trade Fitter or equivalent.
  • Minimum Qualification – Certificate III level qualification required.
  • Mechanical Experience – Proven experience in fitting, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Experience Requirement – 5-10 years of mechanical fitting experience required.
  • Problem-Solving Skills – Ability to diagnose and fix mechanical issues quickly.
  • Attention to Detail – Work to exact specifications and high-quality standards.
  • Team Player – Work well in a crew and contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Commitment to Safety – Follow workplace safety rules and procedures at all times.
  • Role Scope – This position involves a mix of hands-on fitting work and supervisory responsibilities.
