About the opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated people to join the casual pool in Hotel Services which covers Catering and Cleaning areas at the Mercy Care Centre Young.

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following criteria:

• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and completion of food handlers course.
• Experience in general domestic and food service duties including working with relevant chemicals and equipment.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control.
• Sound manual handling practices.
• Ability and willingness to work a rotating roster that will or may include weekends.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience in kitchen operations or cleaning departments within Healthcare, Aged Care or similar industries.
• Ability to operate in team environment and work autonomously.
• Punctuality and reliability, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrated understanding of person-centred care.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

• A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
• Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
