About the role

Are you a passionate Optometrist looking for a part-time opportunity based in Auburn, NSW?

Healthcare2You is seeking a motivated Optometrist to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye examinations and vision care services to our valued patients. The role is Monday to Friday only as we do not consult on the weekend.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting thorough eye exams to assess patients' vision and eye health
  • Prescribing and dispensing corrective lenses and low vision aids
  • Diagnosing and treating eye conditions, including refractive errors, eye diseases, and injuries
  • Educating patients on proper eye care and providing recommendations for maintaining good vision
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation

What we're looking for

  • Optometry degree and current registration as an Optometrist in Australia
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Optometrist, preferably in a clinical setting
  • Strong clinical skills and expertise in performing comprehensive eye examinations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and delivering positive outcomes
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team in an aged care setting
