Opening in January 2026, Heirloom is a coastal kitchen and dining space nestled within a stunning new retirement living community just south of Sydney. With sweeping waterfront views, a Mediterranean soul, and a deep love for shared stories and slow meals, Heirloom is where old traditions meet new memories—open to the public, but grounded in the lives of our residents, their families, and friends.

We're looking for Casual Chefs to join our founding team—people who cook with care, creativity, and consistency, and who thrive on making every dining experience memorable.

Your opportunity

Roles commencing from 28th January Casual Positions

Based at our new Heirloom Restaurant at Taren Point, you'll bring warmth, energy, and passion to our kitchen—preparing and presenting high-quality, Mediterranean-inspired meals for residents, guests, and the local community.

Working alongside the Head Chef and wider hospitality team, you'll:

  • Prepare and deliver fresh, seasonal dishes inspired by Mediterranean flavours

  • Support daily kitchen operations and maintain high food quality standards

  • Ensure compliance with HACCP, WHS, and food safety regulations

  • Contribute to menu ideas and bring your creativity to daily specials

  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver a smooth, memorable dining experience

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised kitchen environment

What you'll bring

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

  • Previous experience as a chef or cook, ideally in a café or restaurant setting

  • Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards

  • A team-focused attitude and great communication skills

  • A genuine passion for food, people, and creating moments that matter

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in aged care or retirement living environments

  • Knowledge of Mediterranean or fresh, seasonal cooking styles
