About us

Sunset Colours Painting is a well-established business based in northeastern New South Wales with a dedicated team, delivering quality work to a broad customer base.

Key Responsibilities:


• Safely erect scaffolding and ladders, and set up protective coverings (e.g., drop sheets) to safeguard surrounding areas from paint splatter.


• Prepare surfaces for finishing by removing old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, and ensuring surfaces are smooth and properly sealed.


• Apply paints, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish.


• Maintain cleanliness and safety by properly cleaning tools, equipment, and work areas after each project.

Who we're looking for

We're seeking a detail-oriented and enthusiastic painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A Certificate III in Painting & Decorating and a White Card (Building Industry Induction).
  2. A valid driver's licence.
  3. Additional certifications, such as Asbestos Awareness and Elevated Work Platform Licence, are a bonus
  4. At least 1 year of full-time experience as a painter or in construction/maintenance.
  5. A strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Suitable candidates are subject to pre-employment screening, which includes Reference Checks, Work Rights Verification, and will also include a Criminal History, Qualification and Working with Children Check. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks.
