Inspirations Paint is Australia's leading Paint Specialists Franchise Group, servicing both the retail and trade markets. We are growing and always on the lookout for high calibre individuals to join our store teams. A position is available in the Gladstone, QLD store, which can be part-time or full-time depending on the candidate.

The paint industry is a specialised industry. You will be provided with ongoing training to equip you with the skills required. However, relevant personal experience in stores & stock control and deliveries within the paint or hardware industries is an advantage.

The current position is available to start immediately for an enthusiastic and motivated individual seeking an opportunity to develop their career. Award wages  and uniform are provided. Store hours are between 6.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Friday, and 7.30am to 11.30am Saturday. You could be required to work Saturdays by rotation. The store is not open on Sunday or Public Holidays.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to both retail and trade customers
  • Following the "Inspirations Way"
  • Ensure Workplace Health & Safety requirements are met
  • Deliver and unload orders to customers on assigned routes efficiently ensuring the Company meets customer needs
  • Maintain and manage deliveries to the store and unload orders promptly and safely, storing these appropriately with accurate goods receipting
  • Store presentation, stock management, housekeeping
  • General warehouse and packaging duties
  • Assist with warehouse storage requirements and incoming order management
  • Rolling stock-takes and stock control
  • This role involves frequent lifting and carrying – must be able to lift 20-25kg cans of paint
  • Tinting & mixing paint
  • Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge in the areas of paint and protective coatings, while assisting with sales, stock control and merchandising

Experience / Attributes:

  • Current valid driver's licence
  • Demonstrated customer service with personalised customer focus
  • Well presented both in appearance and communication
  • Able to contribute and work in a team environment
  • Ability to load and unload within safety guidelines and knowledge of load restraints and requirements
  • Approachable, confident and energetic with a pleasant disposition and the ability to effectively deal with customer queries and/or customer complaints
  • Honest, reliable and punctual
  • Proven sales experience and a strong knowledge of paint and associated products
  • Attention to detail, initiative and the ability to learn new systems
  • Forklift licence an advantage
