Senior In Work Support Mentor

A bit about the role

The Senior In-Work Support Mentor plays a critical role at Youth Projects in empowering our teams to provide valuable post-placement support to young people and their employers in accordance with the Transition to Work program across our Western Suburbs hubs. If you are a natural mentor and love bringing the best out of your peers, this is your chance to jump in and help Youth Projects further the support provided to young people in your community.

In addition to managing a caseload, the Senior In Work Support Mentor will help maintain service user engagement and assist the In Work Support Team Leader in supporting, developing and retaining the team of In Work Support Mentors.

This role plays an integral part in maintaining and improving program quality & consistency across our sites, reinforcing Youth Porjects' commitment to helping young people achieve sustainable employment and education outcomes.

Please note: this role requires travel to our hubs across Sunshine, Werribee and the surrounding Western Suburbs

Key Requirements:

• Minimum Certificate IV qualification in Mental Health, Youth Work, Community Services or Career Development is essential and non-negotiable.
• Demonstrated understanding of the TTW program and experience in post placement support.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding Key Performance Indicators.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to behave both professionally and empathetically.
