Finance and Business Services Centre

The Finance and Business Services Centre (FBSC) plays the primary role in the strategic management of financial resources across the University. Our aim is to partner with our customers and provide them with superior services that deliver professional relationships, efficient processes and sound financial management to support the University's objectives.

About the Opportunity

As a member of the Tax Team you will be responsible for:

  • preparation of University tax returns, in areas such as GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, International Tax, with technical support and review provided by ECU's Tax Manager
  • tax account reconciliations, independent research of tax issues, update of tax policy, procedures and reports in conjunction with the Tax Manager
  • working with University schools, centers and institutes on tax related matters including advice, assistance and education as necessary

About you

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent/progressing towards
  • experienced in GST, FBT, Payroll Tax and international tax compliance work and related tax issues
  • an excellent communicator and be enthusiastic, proactive and willing to learn

Importantly, you will demonstrate personal attributes that align with the University's values.
