United Transport Equipment is a modern state of the art fabrication facility in Welshpool, with a young, vibrant and energetic team of Tradespeople, Apprentices and T/A's.
We manufacture Steel Trays and Aluminium Canopies for light vehicles.
Using advanced robotic welding technology, we are able to produce large volumes in a short time period.
We also have our own Amada CNC Laser cutter and CNC Press Brake onsite, as well as a fully equipped paint shop with 2 x Lowbake Ovens.
Main Duties of the Role:
- Prepare vehicle bodies for painting
- Paint vehicle bodies in accordance with appropriate procedure and practice to achieve a high-quality finish
- Operate spray booths in a competent and efficient manner
- Ensure the work area is kept clean and tidy
- Maintain the Company's equipment and tools, including spray booth
Supervise newer tradespeople, apprentices, and TA's.
The successful candidate will possess the following;
- Must be Qualified Automotive Spray Painter (Trade Certificate)
- Experience in preparing and painting two pack paints
- High level of attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
