Radical Recruitment is proud to partner exclusively with a respected community service organisation in Southeast Victoria. This organisation provides vital support to disadvantaged and vulnerable people, with a strong focus on children, families, and individuals impacted by trauma.

We are seeking a Senior Counsellor to join their Family Violence, Homelessness and Therapeutic Services team. In this pivotal role, you will provide trauma‑informed counselling and therapeutic support to victim survivors of family violence and trauma, while also contributing to a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Your Impact:

  • Deliver holistic, trauma‑informed counselling and therapeutic interventions to adults, children, and young people.
  • Provide clinical assessment, treatment planning, and evidence‑based interventions that support recovery and resilience.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of Counsellors, Family Violence Practitioners, and Homelessness Practitioners.
  • Support clients to build coping skills, self‑esteem, and strategies for long‑term wellbeing.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and culturally responsive service environment.

About You

  • Bachelor qualification (or higher) in Psychology, Counselling, or Social Work.
  • Minimum 2 years' counselling experience, ideally within family violence, trauma, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of the impacts of family violence and trauma on adults and children.
  • Skilled in therapeutic assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of interventions.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as MARAMIS and FVISS/CISS.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Current Victorian Driver's Licence and willingness to complete pre‑employment checks.
  • Right to Work in Australia.
