In this crucial role, you'll be responsible for screening air cargo to ensure compliance with all national and international security regulations. Your work directly contributes to the safety of our skies.
Your duties will include:
- Operating and interpreting advanced screening equipment, such as X-ray machines and explosive trace detectors.
- Conducting physical searches of cargo as needed.
- Manual handling of freight up to 20kg
- Data entry – completing x-ray logs and paperwork
- Identifying and reporting any prohibited or dangerous goods.
- Maintaining accurate records of all screened shipments.
- Collaborating with a dedicated team to ensure smooth and secure operations.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Cert II in Transport Security Protection
- Holds a valid ASICS card for x-ray and ETD screening
- The ability to pass a thorough background check.
- Knowledge of ABF and DAFF
- Excellent focus and the ability to work in a detail-oriented environment.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Prior experience in security or screening
- Full work rights and full availability
- Flexibility to commence ASAP
- Own transport and valid drivers licence
