The Opportunity

This role sits within the Portfolio Management Directorate, which oversees the full lifecycle of programs and projects from funding and reporting to assurance and issue resolution ensuring the successful delivery of the Department's transport infrastructure initiatives. As a Systems Analyst, you'll work closely with the Senior Portfolio Systems Analyst to support the Department's project management system and reporting platforms. You'll assist with system enhancements and improvements and help develop business intelligence capabilities to meet evolving reporting needs.

About You

You're a detail-oriented and collaborative professional who brings a mix of technical capability and stakeholder engagement skills.

You'll bring:

  • Experience developing reports using tools like Power BI and Tableau, with the ability to present data in a clear and meaningful way.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, enabling you to support internal users and collaborate effectively across teams.
  • A solid understanding of project management principles, helping you contribute to planning, reporting, and system improvements.
  • Proven ability to manage system data with accuracy, and to prioritise tasks to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Qualification

  • A degree or equivalent in Information Technology.

Special Conditions

  • A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
  • Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required
