It is an innovative and industry-leading company, supporting local families for over fifty years. Gregson & Weight are currently seeking an experienced Funeral Director to join our dedicated team. The role involves supporting families during sensitive times, organising meaningful funeral services and cohesively working together to uphold the company's elite customer service standards and proven procedures within its state-of-the-art facilities.

The successful applicant will be a Funeral Director with a minimum of two years experience arranging funerals and must be able to join our after-hours transfer roster. At Gregson & Weight, the embedded family ethos is that its people are its strongest asset, and we are seeking an individual to bring their knowledge and professionalism to the team. The right person will appreciate the dynamic and challenging nature of the position, that can also be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling when done well. The role requires sensitivity, empathy, flexibility and attention to detail.

Funeral Director Role:

The position focuses on providing support and guidance to families during the funeral planning process.

Key Responsibilities:

The role includes assisting with the practical aspects of arranging a funeral, such as transfers and coordinating the service, as well as offering guidance on personalising the service for each family.

Skillset and Experience Required:

·       Minimum two years experience arranging funerals

·       Exemplary customer service skills

·       Excellent attention to detail

·       Strong verbal and written communication skills

·       Computer literacy / adaptability to learn specialised programs

·       Demonstrated people management and conflict resolution skills
