About the Role:

We seek a motivated Sales Agronomist with a solid understanding of Broadacre and horticultural crops, based in Kingaroy. You should be skilled at identifying pests, disease and weeds in crops and recommending solutions. Ability to manage nutrition programs and requirements. Hands-on specific training will be provided, but you will need a solid foundation on which to build.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be servicing both existing and prospective customers.

Key areas of responsibility will include:


• Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients to grow the business


• Working closely and collaboratively as One Team, with other members of the team locally and nationally


• Pest and disease scouting on farms


• Provide high-quality advice to the client base to support their business objectives.


• Be part of an energetic team of people who are highly focused on the success of their customers


• Sales of required inputs to the customer base


• Develop pest and weed control programs


• Collect and analyse leaf and soil samples

Skills & Experience


• A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture or related field


• Accredited with appropriate reef nutrition requirements an advantage.


• A passion for Agriculture with an entrepreneurial mindset


• Good presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills


• Excellent customer service skills with the ability and willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders are essential to your success in this role


• Relevant computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook


• A current driver's licence is essential
