About The Opportunity
The Older Persons Community Mental Health Service is seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Clinician to step into a pivotal leadership role within our Older Person's Mental Health team. This is a chance to lead with both head and heart, bringing your clinical expertise, empathy, and insight to guide a diverse, multidisciplinary team in delivering care that is person-centred, evidence-informed, and grounded in recovery principles.
In this role, you'll support local and district residential aged care facilities providing expert mental health support, guidance and education. This is a unique role for a specialist clinician dedicated to supporting aged care facilities by working with Care Managers, registered nurses and the care staff. It's a meaningful opportunity to influence real change and contribute to a more compassionate, connected mental health system.
What You'll Be Doing
As a senior clinician provide leadership, mentorship and supervision, to ensure the delivery of evidence-based, strengths focused, recovery orientated assessment and treatment within a multi-disciplinary team. Carry a clinical caseload, appropriate to the needs of the service.
Where You'll Be Working
SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney.
These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.

- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
