About LGC

LGC delivers Traffic Management, Rail Services and Equipment Hire across WA. We're embedding a proactive safety culture, strengthening governance and aligning to ISO standards across the group. Your role will be hands-on, visible and outcome-driven.

The role – what you'll do

  • Provide practical WHS advice and on-site support to operations teams across Traffic, Rail and Hire.
  • Maintain and improve our Integrated Management System and external certifications (ISO), and support Main Roads WA Traffic Management Scheme accreditation activities.
  • Lead and verify SWMS quality for rail and equipment tasks (including hi-rail), and strengthen VOC templates and competency checks.
  • Support chemical management (bunding, registers, PPE) and environmental compliance improvements during site walk-arounds.
  • Coordinate toolbox talks, inductions, inspections and risk assessments; escalate issues quickly and clearly.
  • Contribute to safety culture initiatives, assurance activities and continuous improvement that align with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.

What you'll bring

  • Cert IV or Diploma in WHS (or equivalent experience) and Construction White Card.
  • Strong, practical understanding of the WHS Act 2020 (WA) and WHS Regulations 2022, and how they apply to field operations (Traffic, Rail, Hire).
  • Experience writing and verifying SWMS, conducting VOC assessments and closing out actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001/14001/45001 frameworks and integrated management systems.
  • Advantageous: MRWA Traffic Management accreditation; rail safety exposure; chemical handling awareness; confidence engaging crews and supervisors.
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to sites across WA.
