SafeWork NSW is seeking experienced Project Officers to join the newly established SafeWork NSW Return to Work Programs team working together with other SafeWork inspectors and project officers.
About the role:
As a Project Officer, you'll play a key role in managing and supporting projects that to secure NSW workers' health and safety as well as their return to and recovery at work and help design and deliver projects that directly contribute to ensuring NSW workplaces meet their obligations to return injured workers to the workplace in accordance with NSW Work Health and Safety, Workers Compensation and Injury Management laws.
You will have the opportunity to deliver regulatory initiatives that support safe, sustainable return to work practices and secure compliance with workers compensation and work, health and safety (WHS) legislation to reduce the impact of workplace injury and illness on businesses and workers.
You will:
- Coordinate and implement a range of projects using sound project management principles.
- Provide project support services to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors to achieve project outcomes.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and contribute to informed decision making through research and analysis.

- Experience working in areas of occupational rehabilitation, allied health, WHS, human resources, workplace investigations, organisational change is highly desirable
