About the Role
A large Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced Intelligence Analyst to support its Intelligence, Fraud & Payment Integrity function. This role contributes to the prevention, detection and response to fraud and non-compliance through the delivery of high-quality intelligence products.
The successful candidate will apply intelligence tradecraft, analytical judgement and stakeholder engagement skills to support tactical and operational intelligence activities in a complex government environment.
Key Duties and Deliverables The Intelligence Analyst will:
- Contribute to the development, planning and production of intelligence products, outputs and outcomes.
- Utilise a recognised intelligence qualification and/or relevant experience obtained in a government, law enforcement or military intelligence context.
- Conduct payment integrity and fraud assessments, producing intelligence reports for complex matters through the collection, evaluation and analysis of information.
- Lead tactical intelligence projects, including developing collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, departmental policies, guidelines and information security requirements, including the appropriate use of ICT systems.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of business rules, analytical approaches and avenues of investigation.
- Produce intelligence products within agreed timeframes and in accordance with the intelligence cycle.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to intelligence activities, business decisions and reporting requirements.

Mandatory Requirements:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance, with the capacity to obtain a higher clearance if required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check.
- Ability to obtain an Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC) organisational suitability assessment, if required.
- Australian citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
Contract Details:
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Hourly Rate: $ $75.00 plus 12% superannuation
