An excellent opportunity within the Retail First portfolio of shopping centres has become available for an Administration Assistant at Peninsula Fair and Margate Village. The position will be based at Peninsula Fair, located approximately 37 kms from the Brisbane CBD. This is a full-time role, and the successful candidate is required to work onsite 5 days a week.

The ideal candidate will assist the Centre Manager and Administration Manager in all areas of administration, including rent management, tenant billing, invoicing and retailer communication. You will be responsible for customer service for the centre and support daily office operations and ensure smooth administrative workflows. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, has great attention to detail, and enjoys keeping things organised.

Responsibilities

  • Reception duties such as customer and retailer enquiries, mail distribution, and telecommunication.
  • Daily banking, invoicing, preparing reports and other documents as needed.
  • Order office supplies and manage inventory.
  • Collaborate and liaise with internal Retail First teams and external contractors.
  • Assist both the Operations Manager and Marketing Manager with administrative tasks.

Who are we looking for?

  • Year 12 high school certificate or equivalent; further education or certification in administration is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Someone with a passion for organisation. Previous retail experience of working part-time in a retail store, fast food, or hospitality is a great foundation.
  • A pro-active self-starter, who has a keen attitude and is willing to learn.
  • Strong verbal, written, and organisational skills.
  • Be a collaborative team player who can take direction.
  • Have positive interpersonal skills, to attain the best outcomes through working with the people around you - colleagues, retailers, contractors, customers, community and industry contacts.
