We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Database Administrator to join a growing organisation committed to modernising their environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Administer, configure and maintain SQL databases and related CICS services
  • Perform upgrades, backups, tuning, and recovery activities to ensure performance and resilience
  • Monitor database health using CloudWatch and other tools; troubleshoot complex issues
  • Collaborate with cloud and dev teams on performance optimisation and integration
  • Provide mentorship and review for other DBAs, while supporting a DevOps culture
  • Lead the implementation of database security standards and compliance policies

What You Bring:

Expert knowledge in SQL

Experience with AWS including ECS, EKS, EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, and CloudWatch

Strong SQL skills: writing, debugging, and tuning

Familiarity with Mulesoft or other API integration platforms

Previous exposure to protected enterprise systems and regulated data environments

Excellent collaboration, stakeholder management and mentoring capabilities
