Gymnastics Coach

Location: Kensington PCYC

Hours: Casual hours and must be available from 9-12pm weekday/s

Notes: Potential additional hours for IntroGym class

Are you passionate about helping children develop confidence, coordination, and a love for movement? We're looking for an energetic and caring KinderGym Coach to join our team

In this role, you'll deliver fun and engaging classes that focus on building essential motor skills while creating a safe and supportive environment for young children.

What you'll do:

• Lead structured KinderGym classes that develop movement, balance, flexibility, and coordination.
• Use creative and age-appropriate activities to encourage both fine and gross motor skill development.
• Adapt sessions to suit the individual needs and abilities of each child.
• Run warm-ups and cool-downs to support safety and injury prevention.
• Ensure all equipment is safe, well-maintained, and suitable for use.
• Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
• Foster teamwork, cooperation, and confidence through positive interactions.
• Keep the activity space clean, organised, and welcoming.
• Participate in training to stay up to date with best practices.

What we're looking for:

• Enthusiasm for working with children in a fun, active environment.
• Gymnastics Australia Fundamentals Accreditation or equivalent is highly desirable, or willing to obtain one.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with both children and parents.
• Creativity, patience, and a focus on safety.
• Experience in early childhood activities, sports coaching, or gymnastics (desirable but not essential).
