Labourer - Footings/Earthmoving

Adelaide, South Australia Dig By Design Full time $45,000 - $60,000 per year

Dig By Design are a small, family owned and operated earthmoving business specialising in residential footings. We are looking for a labourer to work alongside one of our excavator operators setting up sites, cleaning trenches and other associated earthmoving labour duties mostly north of Adelaide.

Average hours around 6:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Occasional Saturday availability would be a bonus.

Immediate start from Monday 1st September, 2025.

Construction Induction (White Card) required. Own transport required. Sites are predominantly around the north to north-eastern suburbs of Adelaide.

Good level of health and physical fitness required as this is can be a demanding role using shovels, rakes and hopping in and out of trenches. Whilst there is an element that will always just be 'hard work' as it is an outdoor physical labour job, using your initiative to make the day easier and recognising opportunities where you can work 'smarter' is viewed favourably, rather than standing around waiting to be told what to do or leaving things until the end of the day. There are opportunities for progression for those willing to learn.

Most important for us is reliability, the ability to communicate effectively and reasonably use common sense particularly when it comes to safety.

Show up on time, look after the tools, and this a long-term position in a small crew at a family-run business where we see you as an important part of our lives and business and not just a replaceable employee number on a piece of paper.
